This page covers how this website handles personal information. It does not cover the separate engagement contract clients sign for delivery work, that is a different document, and the plain-English summary of its terms is on the About page.

Who this is
This site is operated by Silky Insights Limited, based in Auckland, New Zealand. If you have a question about this policy or want to make a request about your information, contact chris.matthews@silkyinsights.com.
What we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to give us: your name, email address, optional company name and message, if you use the contact form, or whatever you include if you email or call us directly.
We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any third-party tracking on this site. There is nothing here quietly following you around.
What we do with it
Contact form submissions are sent as an email to our own inbox, so we can reply to your enquiry. That is the only reason we collect it.
That email is sent through Google's mail service, since that is our email provider, the same as it would be if you emailed us directly. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails as long as they are relevant to the conversation or relationship, the same way any email correspondence is kept. There is no automatic deletion schedule. If you would like us to delete information we hold about you, email us and we will.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand), you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. Email chris.matthews@silkyinsights.com to make a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Data sovereignty in what we build
The data-sovereignty commitments described elsewhere on this site (systems running in infrastructure you control, in the region you choose, your data never used to train anything) refer to the AI systems we build for clients, not this website. See Expertise for how that applies to delivery work.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects or does with information changes, for example if analytics is added later, this page will be updated to reflect that before the change goes live, not after.
